As Nigeria marks her 65th Independence Anniversary, a Canadian based Nigerian, Mr Osazee Jolly Arase, has extended warm felicitations to all Nigerians, commending the nation’s resilience and unity despite decades of challenges.
In his goodwill message on Wednesday, Arase applauded the courage and determination of citizens who continue to keep faith in the Nigerian project. He urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in hope, strengthen the bonds of patriotism, and work collectively towards building a more prosperous and peaceful nation.
“Nigeria at 65 is a story of resilience, courage, and unyielding hope. Despite the hurdles, our spirit as a people has remained unbroken. I call on every Nigerian to embrace patriotism, rise above differences, and commit to the values of unity, innovation, and service. Together, we can transform challenges into opportunities for growth and progress,” he said.
Arase a renowned political scientist, emphasized that the nation’s diversity remains its greatest strength and called on leaders at all levels to foster inclusivity, transparency, and accountability in governance. He also encouraged the youth to remain committed to education, enterprise, and innovation as drivers of a stronger future.
As Nigeria celebrates this milestone, Arase urged citizens not to lose hope but to stand firm in resilience and optimism, believing that the nation’s best years still lie ahead.
