According to eyewitness reports, the unidentified man entered the bank during working hours on Monday, pretending to be a regular customer. However, he headed straight to the restroom and secretly climbed into the ceiling, where he remained hidden until the close of business.

Once all staff had vacated the premises, the man reportedly descended from the ceiling and began tampering with the bank’s systems in a calculated attempt to hack into sensitive financial data. In a shocking twist, he even locked himself inside the building to avoid detection.

By morning, when employees resumed for the day, they were stunned to find the bank’s entrance locked from the inside. Sensing something was wrong, they forced the door open—only to be met with a jaw-dropping discovery.

As they turned on their computers, screens displayed the strange message: “Restarting, click OK to accept.” Their instincts proved right—someone had infiltrated their workspace.

A quick search led to the dramatic discovery of the hacker hiding above the ceiling, hoping to evade capture. He was immediately dragged out, beaten by an angry mob, and promptly handed over to security operatives for prosecution.

The incident has raised serious concerns about bank security protocols and insider vulnerabilities. FCMB has yet to release an official statement, but sources say an internal review has been launched.

Stay tuned for updates on the arrest, investigation, and what this means for cybersecurity in Nigerian banks. What do you think should be done to the hacker?
