Izedonmwen celebrate Oba of Benin on the occasion of his 71st birthday, 8th coronation anniversary

The gubernatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the 2024 governorship election in Edo State, Engr. Osarenren Derek Izedonmwen, has celebrated with His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II N’ Ogidigan, the 40th Oba of the Great Benin Kingdom, on the occasion of his 71st birthday and 8th coronation anniversary.
Izedonmwen described Oba Ewuare II CFR as a symbol of wisdom, dignity, and fortitude. A king among kings. He commended the revered monarch whose reign has been marked by a rare blend of ancient insight and progressive leadership, earning him the reverence of his subjects and respect across Nigeria and beyond.
He prayed for His Royal Majesty to continually enjoys good health, peace, and prosperity. “May our ancestors and Almighty God continue to guide, protect, and bless him as he leads this great kingdom with wisdom and grace.”
The statement reads “Today, we celebrate a remarkable double milestone—the birthday and 8th coronation anniversary of our father and revered monarch, His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II N’ Ogidigan, the 40th Oba of the Great Benin Kingdom.
“Oba Ewuare II stands as a symbol of wisdom, dignity, and fortitude. A king among kings, he embodies the values of our ancestors while boldly navigating the complexities of the modern world. “Known as ‘the home leopard,’ and ‘Ogidigan’, His Majesty’s words resonate with the wisdom of the gods, guiding the Benin people with peace, fairness, and truth. His voice—always firm yet measured—remains an unwavering beacon, fearlessly speaking truth to power and preserving the pride and heritage of Edoid people worldwide.
“On this special occasion, I offer my deepest prayers for His Majesty’s continued reign in health, peace, and prosperity. May our ancestors and Almighty God continue to guide, protect, and bless him as he leads this great kingdom with wisdom and grace.
