Tyrell Malacia, The Netherlands international signed for United from Feyenoord for £13m on a four-year contract in July 2022. He was full of high hopes and played very well in his first season at Manchester United. But since that first season ended, he has been a shadow of himself and injuries have taken over his once illustrious career.
Tyrell Malacia was last seen in November 2023 in the club training ground footage with Hannibal Mejri and one other Manchester United player discussing and laughing.
Malacia had a knee surgery last year and he was recovering but at some point he suffered another setback. Eric Ten Haag saw that he is still in pains and suggested he goes for another surgery, that means he is probably out of the season.
He was already on grass training but then he started feeling pain on his left knee. That happened after the window closed in January according to some news that was found in the Manchester United official app early this year. Funny enough renowned sports journalist, Fabrizio Romano hasn’t posted any update on him since then.
As a confirmation, according to Manchester United journalist, Samuel Luckhurst, Tyrell Malacia might miss the whole Man United season through this latest injury.
This is sad though and the fans will expect him to come back strong.
