In Asaba, Delta State, a 24-year-old girl was raped by a 34-year-old bike man named Abdulahi Musa. The victim had arrived in Asaba from Benin on February 28, 2023, and patronized Musa to take her to a specific location.
However, instead of taking her to her destination, Musa diverted to the bush and raped her anally. The victim recounted the incident and noted that Musa demanded all the money in her bank account after raping her. The Delta State police command spokesman Bright Edafe announced the arrest of Musa on May 24, 2023, via Twitter. Operatives of SIB carried out an intelligence-led investigation that lasted for five months, leading to Musa’s eventual arrest on May 20, 2023. “On 5/5/2023, operatives of SIB commenced an intelligence led investigation that lasted for 5 months, and the suspect was eventually arrested on 20/5/2023.
“The girl has narrated her ordeal, and the boy has confessed with his own mouth. We should be careful, especially at night, and in areas we dont know much. The heart of man, they say, is desperately wicked”
